The Grand Duchy of Limbult is a nation located southeast of the Rhoden Kingdom and borders the Great Canada Forest.
Background[]
Once formerly part of the Rhoden Kingdom, the duchy broke off from the kingdom as Duke Ticient was opposed fighting with the elves. Since then the duchy has maintained cordial relations with the elves, becoming the nation that hold exclusive trade with the denizens of the Great Canada Forest.
The duchy is located on the Librout River, to the east of its former parent kingdom.
Chronology[]
Light Novel Volume 01[]
The Rhoden Kingdom, worried about the incident with the discovery of Diento trafficking elven slaves would lead to the Great Canada Forest in cutting off the kingdom in magic tools, dispatched Yuriarna to Limbult to hopefully open a dialogue.[1]
Light Novel Volume 02[]
After Princess Yuriarna Merol Melissa Rhoden Olav was assassinated thanks to the machination of Dakares Ciciay Karlon Rhoden Vetran and miraculously revived by Arc, she and her entourage headed to Limbult for refugee.[2]
During Dakares Ciciay Karlon Rhoden Vetran scheming to murder his brother Sekt during the chaos of the Jinshin Clan's attack on Olav, the prince already received word that Yuriarna had somehow managed to escape being killed and reach Limbult.[3]
The surviving entourage of Princess Yuriarna reached the capital of Limbult and were greeted by her older sister Seriarna Meria du Olav Ticient.[4]
Light Novel Volume 03[]
In order to prevent the kingdom from being cut out of the magic item trade, Limbult acted as an intermediary between the elves and the Rhoden Kingdom. Princess Yuriarna acted as her kingdom's representative adn was able to finally meet the representatives of the Council of Elders, Fangas Flan Maple and Dillan Tahg Lalatoya. Through the talks the parties agreed to support the princess's bid to the throne for better elven relations and security of elven rights.[5]

Unlike many of the human nations, the duchy is considerably more tolerant and moderate when dealing with other races. Due to this the country was able to acquire magical items obtained from their elven neighbors, raising its quality of living. Though it was a small nation, its economic power could easily rival an empire.

Relations with the kingdom was estrange due to the the Kingdom views in maintaining a aggressive policies against the elves. Though the kingdom relied one the duchy in acting as intermediaries with the elves. The royal family of the Kingdom had a familial relationship with the rulers of the Duchy as the daughter of the king was married into the ruling family of Limbult.
Great Canada Forest[]
Due to the moderate views of the duke the elves now only traded with the people of Limbult.[6] Due to the forest being ill suited for growing crops, the elves buy wheat in bulk from the Duchy.
